Fareshare Cymru has officially launched funding for food and drink businesses of all sizes across Wales.
Surplus With Purpose Cymru is open to companies across Bridgend County Borough who have food that is edible but is wasted because of costs or the food being unsuitable for commercial use. The fund aims to overcome the barriers that businesses have when redistributing surplus food to charities across Wales.
The fund is able to help with the costs of tasks such as:
Fareshare Cymru works with more than 500 companies across the supply chain to help redistribute surplus food to 188 charities across Wales, from domestic violence refugees to homesless hostels.
