Retail radio for safer shopping

Monday 10 February 2020

The Storenet radio system which operates in Maesteg town centre is about to go digital. Each participating store in the town centre will soon be issued with a new digital radio system by M.R.S Communications who operate Storenet.

The system, which is run in partnership with Bridgend County Borough Council, South Wales Police and Maesteg Business Association, connects participating retailers via a radio which is carried by a member of staff on the shop floor.

The aim is to prevent and detect instances of retail theft, increasing retailer’s profitability and providing retail staff with the reassurance of an alarm button on the radio which can be activated in an emergency.

To find out more about Storenet please contact Sarah Ridings at M.R.S Communications via email: sarah.ridings@mrscomms.co.uk or by telephone: 02920 810810.
