TEDx Talk comes to Nantymoel

An event organised by TEDx is coming to Nantymoel, with guest speakers attending.

Launched in 2009, TEDx is a programme of locally organised events that bring communities together to share their experiences. Some talks from TEDx have gained millions of views from audiences across the world.

TEDxNantymoel first came to Bridgend County Borough in 2020 and this year’s event will be taking place at The MEM Community Centre on Sunday 19 November from 10am – 4pm, with the theme of the event being “The Heart of the Community”.

Speakers this year include:

  • Paul Stepczak from Cwmpas
  • Amanda Powell, writer and journalist
  • Martin Griffiths, astronomer with Dark Sky Wales
  • Rob Jones, education behaviour specialist from DASH Mental health, Wellbeing & Behaviour
  • Cerys Keneally, award-winning children’s activity provider trainer
  • Daniel Lock, Landscape, Culture and Identity Convenor from Valleys Regional Park
  • Kate Wood, owner of The Craft Junction
  • Esther Thompson, owner of The Brother’s Café
  • Corin Morgan-Armstrong, organiser of the Invisible Walls project

Tickets for the event cost £8.50 and will include a buffet lunch.
