Two new events business funds announced

Two brand new funds have been announced by Event Wales to help support event sector development and event sustainability.

As part of the new Strategy released by Welsh Government, sector development and event sustainability have been highlighted as ongoing priorities, with the funds being created to specifically target these two workstreams.

The funds are:

The Sector Development Fund

• Up to £300,00 per annum is available
• Will seek to support projects that are able to demonstrate they can make a different to the Events industry in Wales
• Individual applications would not exceed £20,000 – £30,000 for this fund.

The Sustainability Innovation Fund

• Up to £200,000 per annum is available
• Open to projects planned for the same time that can anticipate new and innovative approaches to event sustainability goals
• Individual applications would not exceed £10,000 – £15,000 for this fund

Applications are invited from businesses across the county borough, along with partnership projects between 2 or more applicants.
