UK Government offers support for businesses to install charge points

The UK Government is now offering support for businesses to help install charging points for vehicles.

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints.

The scheme is available to the following businesses:

• B&B’s
• Campsites
• Small hotels
• Charities
• Other accommodation businesses with less than 250 employees.

As part of the scheme, there are a number of requirements that businesses must follow in order to be eligible.
