Businesses invited to learn about sustainable plastics

Businesses across Bridgend County Borough are being invited to an event to learn about the recent exciting developments about sustainable plastics.

UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) are holding an event at the Raddison Blu hotel in Cardiff, about the Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging (SSPP) Challenge. The event will give businesses advance details about plans for a new funding competition and access to broader business support to grow.

The challenge is working towards making plastic packaging fit in the plans for s sustainable future. The five-year programme, costing £60 million, is the largest UK government investment in the innovative research and reflects the need to help eradicate plastic pollution.

The event will be taking place on Tuesday 6^th September between 9am and 3.30pm.
