Cost of Living action plan released for businesses

Business in the Community (BITC) have launched a new Cost-of-Living Action Plan for businesses to refer to during the ongoing crisis.

The 12-step action plan has been specially designed to help businesses across the county borough make smarter changes to their business practices amidst the crisis.

Steps include:

• Helping to support employees by paying the Real living Wage and ensuring flexible working options
• Supporting customers by providing products that are affordable and innovate
• Supporting your local community by promoting volunteering and sharing goods with organisations working with vulnerable people
• Ensuring prompt and fair payment to suppliers and reducing energy use

A free event to discuss further support for businesses is being held by BITC with support from the Welsh Government and Business Wales. The event will take place on Wednesday 15 February 2023 at the University of South Wales in Newport – Book your place online.
