New online service launched for employers to support disabled people

A new online service has been officially launched by the UK Government to give employers the tools they need to support their disabled employees.

The Support with Employee Health and Disability service aims to provide essential information about supporting and managing employees who are disabled or have health conditions at work.

Any employer can access the service, which includes free advice on how to support staff and is specifically aimed at smaller businesses who do not have in-house HR support or access to occupational health services.

The site is currently in its testing stage, with businesses being invited to have their say through a short online survey.
