Upcoming Disability Confident Event

Businesses across Bridgend County Borough are being invited to a disability confident event next month.

The event will be taking place on Thursday 18 May between 10am and 12pm at Bryngarw House in Brynmenyn.

The event is being organised between the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) and Business Wales, alongside the hosts Awen Cultural Trust.  The Disability Confident event is designed to showcase the business benefits employers could be missing out on by not employing people with health conditions. It will also give information about signing up to the Disability Confident scheme, alongside:

• Testimonials from motivational speakers
• The opportunity to speak to staff from DWP, Business Wales and Welsh Government
• Speeches from Disabled People’s Employment Champions Terry Mills and Huw Chance

Refreshments will be provided upon arrival.
