Friday 3 November 2023

New laws for businesses regarding recycling and waste will be coming into effect next year the Welsh Government has announced.

The law will come into effect on Saturday 6 April 2024 and will mean that all workplaces will need to separate their recyclable materials in the same way households do across Bridgend County Borough.

Wales is currently third in the world when it comes to recycling waste from households, and businesses recycling will allow for this success to be built on.

The new laws will mean that workplaces will need to separate:

  • Paper
  • Card
  • Glass
  • Metal, Plastic and Cartons
  • Food
  • Unsold small waste electrical and electronic equipment
  • Unsold textiles
